I had the honor of being part of the evaluation committee for the prestigious Manager of the Year 2024 competition, which has been recognizing Czech management personalities for more than three decades. This experience was not only an honor for me, but also confirmation that the academic world we are building together at the Faculty of Management and Economics of TBU in Zlín (FaME) shares a common goal with management practice – to develop leadership, innovation, and responsibility in management.

I greatly appreciate that it is thanks to the cooperation with the Czech Management Association (ČMA) that the ČMA Center of Excellence – FaME UTB Zlín has been established and is now launching its activities. This new center connects managers, the university environment, students, and innovators, creating a platform where practical experience naturally connects with research and education.

The center is based on the tradition of Tomáš Baťa – responsible entrepreneurship, an innovative approach, and the connection of theory with practice. It offers educational programs, mentoring, a leadership academy, networking, professional conferences, and digital forms of development that respond to the current challenges of the management profession.
